Disclaimer: Setting the incorrect parameter may cause lost traffic and revenue. Routy is NOT responsible for the parameter you set in this section. Set it at your own risk.
For most programs, Routy adds preset tracking parameters to an affiliate link out of the box. However, for some accounts on lesser known or proprietary programs, you might see a blue banner with the message "Edit Click tracking Dynamic Parameter" as shown below:
This means that Routy does not add any preset tracking parameter, and the affiliate should add a specific parameter provided by the advertiser to enable successful postback tracking/click reporting.
How to set a tracking parameter
To set a tracking parameter, you must first enter the account for which you wish to set the tracking parameter. Press Actions > Tracking Parameters and the window below should show up
As mentioned above, setting a value here may cause tracking issues and even lost traffic. Please be sure that the correct parameter is set.
ClickId Query String refers to the click parameter you wish to set. For example, if you set click_id as the ClickId Query String, your affiliate link will look as follows:
https://affiliate.link/?affId&click_id=12345-54321-abcde-fghi
Dynamic Query String also refers to the click parameter you wish to set, but the ID will be of a different format. For example, if you set dyn as the Dynamic Query String, your affiliate link will look as follows:
https://affiliate.link/?affId&dyn=DP000000
Once the parameter is set it may take up to 30 minutes for links to begin passing this value.
Should you come across any issues please set up a ticket.
