Set up postbacks on Affilka systems
To manually set up postback tracking with an Affilka backend, log into the affiliate program and press Campaigns > My postbacks
Here you will be taken to the postbacks page. Press New postback.
Next, you will be taken to a page with multiple sections. In the Postback scope section, select Global postback.
Under postback action, select the action you would like to have the postback track. In Routy we currently support signups/registrations and first time deposits. We recommend setting up a postback for both. Let's say you pick First deposit to start off with.
After this you will be taken to final section, where you need to input the postback URL. To get the postback URL, log into your Routy account and select the Affilka affiliate account for which you are setting up the postback.
Press Actions > Postback
A pop-up window will appear showing you the Sign Up postback URL and the First Time Deposit postback URL. Based on which action you set the postback on the affiliate program for, select the link from Routy (in our case, FTD)
Input the link in the 'Postback URL' textbox and add a '$' in front of click parameter in the curly brackets.
Your postback link should look like this:
https://hooks.routy.app/post-back/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX?dyn=${visit_id}&signups=1
Press Submit.
Your next conversion should show in the Routy Postback Report.
Troubleshooting postbacks on Affilka systems
If your postbacks are not working, start off by checking the postback log on Affilka. To do this:
- Log into the affiliate program
- On the sidebar, press Campaigns > Postbacks > Postback Log
Here you'll be able to see a list of all the postbacks sent by the brand and will be able to identify the source of the issue which may be.
- Postbacks not being sent at all by the brand
- The wrong click id/dynamic variable is being sent
- No click id/dynamic variable is being sent
